I am trying to find information on my ancestor prior to his arrival here in the US. Conrad Dearing(I am sure spelled differently originally)b:1845 Germany we believe in Hesse-Darmstadt (according to 1860 census of Lawerence county, OH), death certificate has his father as Conrad. This family was in Lawerence county, Ohio in 1860. Conrad married Louisa Wetzel in Lawerence county, in 1865. Then the family moved to Hocking county, Ohio. While in Lawerence county, the last name was spelled Deering. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
Mary
