Annette, sorry for the delayed reply, we just returned from spring break vacation with the kids. Actually, I have no source (come to think of it, shame on me!) except for the fact that my German-Russians intermarried with other GRs, and these families immigrated to Lincoln, Nebraska from the Volga area of Russia in the early 1900s. My lines married two Doerrs and I am trying to see if there are any relatives out there . . . John MAUL born 1919 married Elizabeth Doerr and they moved to California. Erna KRESS born 1909 married a Mr. Doerr and they moved to NY. I think this Mr. Doerr was either Charles, Jacob or Alex. Did any of your northern KS Doerrs have relatives in Nebraska?
