You are correct about the drier aspect of Doerrer. Perhaps your line were drier's of Apricots. However, many other fruits were also, of course, dried by Doerrers.
It's always comforting to have positive contributions like yours to the Doerr (Doerrer) forum.
Do you know where in Germany, specifically, that your Dorr's are from?
