My great-great-great grandfather was Peter Doerr, who moved from Prussia to Wellesley Township, Waterloo County after 1836. Peter and Anna Marie had eight or so children, John, Anthony, Angela, Casper, Nicholas, Joseph, Katharine and Marie. Casper is my ancestor, and he moved to Sanilac County, Michigan by 1862.

My aunt compiled an extensive family history on this line. Please contact me if you are related. I'm also interested in finding out what happened to Casper's widow Margareth (Vadder) Doerr Haight. (Her son Philip was born in 1878 after Casper was "killed by a log," and her new husband must have died before 1880.)
