Yes the Doggett's did settle on the eastcoast, my ggggggrandfather Thomas came to USA and he and fmily settled in Marchfield,Mass
my grandfather Frank L. was on the "Olympia: when it sank at sea, his father John Andrew and brother John died that fatal day when the fishing boat was hit by a English schooner,
I am always looking for information on my family "the Doggett's
