If you are still interested, this is the information I have on Doidge Bay in Canada. The bay was named after James Doidge, petty officer of H.M.S. Alert (Nares, 1875-76). Why? They don't say why. The approval date was December 31, 1910 of the name. The latitude is 825900 and the longitude is 0684500. It is listed on map sheet number 120F. The website I got this information is (and that was in June 7, 2001 so don't know if the site is still there.) Hope this helps. Lyn
