Hi Bob:

I have a book inscribed to my ancestor Elizabeth Laurence as follows:

"Presented to Mrs. Elizabeth Laurence by her affectionate cousin Jane Doidge in remembrance of their meeting after 22 years' separation, Redruth, Cornwall, June 7th, 1867."

The book has a raised seal on the frontispiece that reads "J.S. Doidge, Printer, Bookseller, Redruth."

This is the first I had heard of the name Doidge, and since you also have a Jane, I thought I'd pass the info along to you.
