It seems my Acadian families went by so many names it is difficult to find them!

Apparently, this woman went by Gould or Doiron, was from Cap-Pele, and went by nicknames such as Annie, Anne, Toinette, Gurnette, etc. Unfortunately, I do not have siblings for her. She married a Romain/Raymond Poirier/Perry, perhaps in the 1890s....not sure where...could be Grand-Digue, Cap-pele, or Shediac.

They did have some children in NB before coming to NS--one was Ferdinand Jean Poirier, baptised in Shediac around 1899. Sponsors seem to have been Ferdinand Babineau and Genvieve Poirier.
