Starting Sept. 5, 2014, Genealogy.com will be making a big change. GenForum
message boards, Family Tree Maker homepages, and the most popular articles
will be preserved in a read-only format, while several other features will
no longer be available, including member subscriptions and the Shop.
It seems my Acadian families went by so many names it is difficult to find them!
Apparently, this woman went by Gould or Doiron, was from Cap-Pele, and went by nicknames such as Annie, Anne, Toinette, Gurnette, etc. Unfortunately, I do not have siblings for her. She married a Romain/Raymond Poirier/Perry, perhaps in the 1890s....not sure where...could be Grand-Digue, Cap-pele, or Shediac.
They did have some children in NB before coming to NS--one was Ferdinand Jean Poirier, baptised in Shediac around 1899. Sponsors seem to have been Ferdinand Babineau and Genvieve Poirier.
