Alfred. I need help. I was looking up on my great grandmothers name...Angelique Doiron and luckily cliked a link and found that you live in Pomquet. I may be related to you and I may have already met you. I am the granddaughter of Fred Benoit 1891 of pomquet. and I need help reaching elders in pomquet to give me any info they might have on his family I wanted to visit Aunt Hazel Deyoung to ask her what she rememers of his family. Also I need to locate some elderly folks who will help me confirm the fact that Fred .was part Indian. I plan to visit and if you have any names of people I could contact please let me know. Also, would you be able to post a note in the church of pomquet requesting any information they might have. Do you know of anyone (eleders) who may have old pictures of Fred's family,Mother--Angelique and Father---Remi also siblings
Frankie, Timothy, Elizabeth,Maggie, Joseph--Josie the merchant, also his step brother henry melanson, george melanson. Ask around the neighborhood and let me know. Im also looking for some old food recipes from grandmere Deyoung which Im sure are alive and thriving in homemade bread and rolls and also a pudding that was made from the white seaweed found on a beach. Do keep in touch. My aunt is Flora Deyoung...tell her I said hello...Kathy morrow, Al Morrow's daughter from Somerville MA.
