Hi Grant,

I am afraid that I can't provide you with any specifics. However, I would suggest you try searching the Island Register web-site at http://www.isn.net/~dhunter/index.html

This is an excellent resource for genealogical research in Prince Edward Island, Canada. You will find the Buote name in Tignish, PEI. You can try scanning the Lineages section, which contains over 300 family files - if Buote or Doiron is not listed, try one of the other Acadian surnames. Or, you can use the sites internal search engine for documents containing those names. Finally, you can leave a query in the guestbook and another researcher working on those names might contact you. Good luck, and I hope this will help.
