Ellen born 6 Dec 1865 and bapt.11 Dec 1865 at Sts Phillip and James, Egmont Bay.Married Thomas Wm. Cudmore but I don't have the date.
Octave Doiron and Mary Brown were my great grandparents. My grandfather was John Doiron/Durant, brother of Ellen. Have done extensive research on this line. We visit in Summerside each summer and have stayed at the Sunny Isle for more than 25 years.
Octave and John (and I suppose other family members) left Rustico after the 1861 census. In the early 1880's Octave was living on First Street in Summerside and was a ship carpenter. There is much more.
We have for many years sought the death/burial record for Simeon Doiron, father of Octave as well as my gr gr Grandfather. Can you help?
Octave died 1909, buried at St. Bridid's/Lot 11.
My mother, Lilla Durant moved to Brunswick, Me. in the early 1900's and married Joseph Bulger (from Lot 11). The family lived in Rumford, Me. where we continue to reside.
As to Ellen there is a grand daughter in the area who I believe knows more than I. I'll contact her in your behalf.
Meanwhile, I do hope to hear from you and possibly to meet you on our Island trip this summer. Regards, Dru Bulger Breton
