Thank you so much for your help; I can't wait to get your book. It is very interesting that you have my grandfather listed as George Salomon 'Brun'. My mother was raised as an 'O'brien'. Her older siblings have 'O'brien' as their last name on their birth certificates, and the younger ones have 'Brun'. They believed 'Brun' was a mistake made by a priest, although their father and his parents spoke french, and there is no evidence of Irish heritage. I would like to find out once and for all if Brun is the rightful name. Do you know where one could find out such information?
