I'm sorry for not getting back to you sooner but I have been very ill for the last two months...I see so much in common with the birth of your Jphn and the rest of Stephen's family...My grandfather was also born in a small township of Rochester NY in 1836...the family moved from there to Mason in Michigan...however he inlisted in the Ninth Indaina for the entire time of the Civil War...his brother Emory was also in the same unit...we have found out very little about the girls in the family...on my grandfather Civil War papers he said that he was from a large family of boys and girls, but he could not read or right so since he moved to Arkansas he had lost touch with them...he came to Arkansas in 1878...he was first in Van Buren Co and then came to the area around Van Buren...His wife died shortly after he came to Arkansas...keep searching and maybe we can solve the puzzle...Fran
