Starting Sept. 30, 2014, Genealogy.com will be making a big change. GenForum message boards, Family Tree Maker homepages, and the most popular articles will be preserved in a read-only format, while several other features will no longer be available, including member subscriptions and the Shop.

I have a great deal of information on Emory but it is packed away...after the holidays I will try to find it for you...he and my ggrandfather were in the same unit in the Civil War...it was the Ninth Indiana...they were discharged in Texas in 1865...they fought the entire war...you can find great information on line about this unit...they were both born in Rochester, NY...I also have a letter from one of your family that said he spoke with a French accent
