Dollard, Dellard, Dillard, Dillaire, Delard

I have a Delard in my grandmother's ancestry and wonder whether the name is a variation of the above and whether it is Irish in origin. My grandmother claimed there was Irish in her background and I am wondering if this could be it. Marie Delard was married to Maxim St Godard, probably at Sorel Quebec. Two of their children raised families at St Jean Baptiste Manitoba. Any information on the possible origin of Delard would be helpful. There seem to be a lot of Delard names in the Pacific West/French Prairie Oregon. I know there was a Dollard who immigrated to Quebec from Ireland, but he was a Catholic priest. Any info would be appreciated. Chrs Nona
