Samuel Franklin Dollins b. VA d. TX

Hello Cousins,
I was absolutely thrilled to get notification of the Dollins' page. I asked for one several months ago, not knowing if anyone else had also asked. Thanks!
I am looking for the family of my great-great grandfather, Samuel Franklin Dollins who was born in VA ca. 1820. He must have lived in Alabama at the time he married ca. 1865, as this is where his children were born. Samuel Franklin Dollins married a widow, Virginia Lavender b. ca. 1835, who had a son named Herbert Bryan Lavender b. ca. 1862.
Samuel & Virginia had 4 or 5 daughters and 1 son. I am descended from Samuel & Virginia's daughter, Maggie Eugenia Dollins (b. 1869 in Alabama, d. 1899 in Grimes Co., TX). Maggie married Charles Davis Manley in Grimes Co. ca. 1885. Maggie's parents, Samuel F. & Virginia and all the children moved to Grimes Co. TX during the 1870's, they show up on the 1880 Grimes Co. TX Census. If any of you know who Samuel F.'s parents were, or his wife's (Virginia's) maiden name was, I would be grateful. Please let me know if you have any information, or can steer me in the right direction. Thanks & Best wishes.
Morrie in Nacogdoches, TX.
