Good night, nurse! Unable to get over here one day, and Dollins researchers are coming out of the woodwork!
What in particular am I supposed to be checking on Marianne? What is the G.Dollins Page? You lost me.
On the information you sent me about James D. Dollins, you have his birthdate as March 18, 1810. The cemetery has his birthdate as Nov. 14, 1823, and the 1850 Dallas Co., TX, census has him born in 1818. LOL! Since the cemetery marker might have been put up long after his death, I'm willing to discount that. I don't know where you got your date, though, Marianne. I have a feeling that the 1850 census might have been more accurate as he was young and alive then and presumably he or his wife, Pamelia, gave his age to the census taker. BTW, Pamelia's age in the cemetery differs from that in the census too. So I think the cemetery records might be wrong. Any ideas? Am I way off here?
