Hello Laura,
This is a shot in the dark, but, did the following name/names appear in your Annie's descendants? Samuel Franklin; Sam; or Frank? I am descended from Samuel Franklin Dollins (b. 1820's in VA) and his wife Virginia, formerly the widow Lavender, who married ca. 1865 in Alabama. Did you know where in Texas your Dollins' lived? Did you ever hear of them living in Grimes or Washington counties in Mid-Texas? Best of luck to you in your research.
Morrie in Nacogdoches, TX
