I have an ancestor named Malinda G. Dollins who married a Franklin Spann. Her youngest son was named Charles Presley Spann. I have yet to see a Spann named Presley so I thought that Malinda named her youngest son after her relatives. Does this fit in with your tree anywhere? As best I can tell Malinda got married in Indiana or Illinois. Did your people scatter out that direction? Any help would be terrific!
