Hi Helen
Yes I do have a cousin Jan Bowman (nee Pearse). James Mathew was grand father to Jan (and Elaine and Pauline). Jan married Bill Bowman which no doubt you are aware of :). From a discussion with Elaine last week the Pearse family are related to the aviator Richard Pearse. There was a Pearse family reunion recently. I believe a pearse was also a leader in the battery hen idea in NZ (not sure thats one to remember). anyway I have no blood ties to the Bowmans so can't help with that side but some info on the Dolphins. James Mathew went 'missing' shortly after Jans mum (Marjorie) married and we don't know what happened to him. He may have been seen in Sydney , he may have gone to South Africa as well. any infor would be appreciated. My father is 80 now and would love to know.
cheers
Leslie
