Angus DOLPHIN & Mary Jane SHAW
Posted by: Ken Dolphin Date: December 05, 1999 at 11:43:16
  of 169

I am looking for information on these two people.
Angus was born in Ireland or England in 1849. He came to Canada soon after and is supposed to have been in the area of Strathroy, Ontario, Canada for awhile. He is then thought to have gone to New York to be a jockey. At one point he was in Chicago where there is a plaque which tells of him being the engineer who did the fastest run between two points. One son , Jimmie worked in Chicago as a railcar inspector. He was killed when the yard crew moved the car that he was inspecting. The rest of the children were born in Kansas, Margaret Jean, Benjamin Franklin, Henry and Mary Oleva. They were born between 1873 and 1889.

Other names in this family group are Wes Beeson, ??? Chapman, George Washington Searls, Caroline Louise (Carrie) Shaw, Catherine Annie Montgomery, And Colin Roland Brownlee.

If anyone has information on any of these people, I would love to hear from you either through this forum or at
kdolphin1@home.com
Ken
