Hi Dave and Stan,
I have Dolphins in Nidderdale in my family tree. According to the history of Nidderdale,
Matthew, Robert and John Dolphin were partners in a mine in 1840. In 1861, Robert Dolphin ran a mine and was helped by his brother Thomas. Thomas was my great grandfather. Contact me direct for links.
