My grandfather's father was George William Dom, Sr. = b.1861 in Somerset Twshp, PA. He was married to Annie (Snyder ) Dom for a few years, had a son George, Jr. in 1888 by her. He also had an affair with my great-grandmother, Julia (Keefer) Saylor which resulted in the birth of my grandfather, Jesse Dom (d. 1973) and his twin sister, Lizzie (d. 1895) - born in 1890. It seems that after his wife found out about his affair (and there may have been more than one), he took off to Chicago, IL. He asked his wife to follow but she ended up divorcing him. That's where the trail ends. Would love to know more about him. His mother was Mary Korns of Wellersburg, PA, and he had a sister - Amy Cadelia Dom (b. 4-21-1858). It seems that this branch of the family originated in Darmstadt Hesse, Germany. I wonder if this could be the same man?
