On Nov. 27, 1869 Honora Scannell married Thomas Donahoe in Boston. Thomas Donahoe, a sailmaker, was born in England circa 1844, the son of Cornelius and Alice Donahoe. The church register spells the surname both as Donaghue and Donohue. In the 1870 and 1880 federal census it is spelled Donahoe. The 1880 federal census listed the Donahoe family at 94 North Margin Street.

Thomas Donahoe, age 34, sailmaker, born England
Wife, Honora Donahoe, age 33, born Boston
Son, Daniel Donahoe, age 9, born Boston
Daughter, Alice Donahoe, age 7, born Boston
Daughter, Margaret Donahoe, age 5, born Boston
Daughter, Marcella Donahoe, age 2, born Boston
Son, Edward Donahoe, age 8/12, born Boston

I have the following birth dates. Daniel Donahoe [sic] was born on Jan. 17, 1871. Marcella Donoghue [sic] was born August 15, 1877. Edward Donoghue [sic] was born Sept. 17, 1879.

Does anyone out there recognize this family. Honora Scannell Donahoe was my great-grandfatherís sister.
