What documentation do you have as to John's parents? Also that he married Eleanor Keys? Have not found that John had a son Charles, but have that he had Cornelius, William, Timothy, James, David, John. and Patsy (don't know if male or female). There were two Johns in South Carolina in 1790. There were two Johns (or maybe the same one) who served in the Revolution from South Carolina, one who enlisted on 27 Nov. 1778, and one who served 31 Jul to 28 Aug 1781, but don't know if it is our John.
