Elizabeth Donaldson Varner c. 1770-1860 Decatur County, GA

Elizabeth Donaldson (Donalson?) Varner born abt 1770, died abt 1860. A journal written by her granddaughter in the 1850s and 1860 said that Elizabeth was of Scottish descent, married George Varner and lived near Bainbridge, GA, now in Decatur County. They had 4 children: Jane born abt. 1789, Alexander born 1791, William born 1793 and John born 1795. The journal said that other Donaldson's lived in SW GA and FL. We do not have any other documentation of either George or Elizabeth. We think that Jane married a Kelly and they lived in Decatur County. Elizabeth's niece, Sally Donaldson, who lived in Decatur County, married Alexander Varner's son in the 1860's and died soon after the wedding.

We do not know if Elizabeth was born in America or in Scotland. George was said to be Irish. I would like to connect with the Donaldson side of the family to find if they can help us connect the dots.
