In Clyde's book he wrote:
"2. The James Donaldson lineage has been researched by Ronald Lee Donaldson, a great-great-grandson of Lathrop, Missouri. An early publication of the James Donaldson genealogy erroneously traced the lineage from a John Donaldson of Clark County, Kentucky A copy is on file at the Kentucky Historical Society Library."

About Allen,Clyde wrote:
"Little is known of Allen H. Donaldson, who was only about four years old when his father died. It is believed he lived with his older brother8, Alexander, until he married. He died when only about 40 years old, leaving five children. His widow, whose maiden name was Margaret Cartmill, married Nicholas Burns."

I don't believe that my husband Dave knew Ron.
Thomas Fletcher Donaldson brother of your Allen H. Donaldson was my husband's 2nd Great Grandfather.

I will send you an electronic copy of the book. Janet
