Trying to tie the British donallys to the American donallys/Donnallys. The scots/irish donnallys left Scotland to colonize Ireland in late 1500/early 1700s. Hugh Donnally was a glover by trade as were his sons and grandsons. Oral history says three brothers left Ireland and went to Holland and then back to ireland or Wales before setting sale for the Colonies. Upon arrival they settled in New Castle PA. later moving to Augusta Co. VA and on to Greenbrier VA (now Wa). They later established the city of Charlestown wva. Do you have any info on the family in Britain.
