Thanks for your post my information is an exact match to yours. I was so excited when I read your post I thought you were saying that Alfred and Co were also your ancestors but when I re read I realise you mean that your Donbavands also avoided the census. Still it was very kind of you to post the information.

I was always told by my gran (Alfreds daughter) that the family had Spanish origins to but as you know they seem to be from Manchester and Runcorn, which is a surprise to me as my gran and my own father looked the part.
