Hi, I'm tracing my husbands tree and there are Dones there from Utkinton and Little Budworth, Cheshire. according to my mother-in-law they are related to the foresters and have a family crest. Whether or not this is true I don't know as all I have found out is that they were farmers and agricultural labourers. I have gone as far back as Thomas Done (1806-?) from Utkinton who married Frances ? (1796-?) from Little Budworth and they had 3 children, Richard, Mary and Henry. My husband is descended from Richard. Are these any thing to do with your Dones? I would be interested to hear from you.
