Done misspellings in the indices

I have been going through the old census records and the manuscript writing is hard to distinguish between Done, Dore, and Dove at times and I am wondering if anyone has considered this as an alternative in trying to find their Done's. I have had luck in typing in Done, Dore, Dove, Pone, Pore, and Pove in the search engines to find missing links. Thought it might help. Vickie
