Re:Surry Co & Orange Co NC

Surry Co NC was one of the two counties with many of my ancestors in the 1700s. Most of my relatives who moved to Surry Co NC had previously lived in Orange Co. NC.

It appears that variations of Dunnagan makes it hard to do research. It also seems that the Donegan variation does not show up as often. If you are dealing with the writing of a clerk who only met her one day [such as in selling a marriage license] the spelling could easily be wrong.

No guarantees, but if you want to consider a free query in our newsletter - perhaps someone will pick up on the Brucham name. I can give you the name of the researcher in our group with the best database. I could even tell you about our newsletter - if you are interested.

Best wishes-
