DONEGAN/DUNIGAN/Donegal Co, Ireland>Ill.

I'm looking for information on my great-grandfather, Michael DUNIGAN, born 1 May 1836 Co. Donegal Ireland, and came to the U.S. in 1853, eventually settling-- first in Knox Co IL, then Seward Co NE. It's likely that his name was DONEGAN, changed at some point to DUNIGAN. It's said that he had siblings who came later to U.S. but they never located each other. His father's name was also Michael, and his mother's maiden name Campbell. Any help appreciated!
