Hello Brenda,
I'm not sure of the name Fred, but my grandfather's name was Daniel and he lived in New Haven. He had 2 (maybe 3) older brothers that were about 10 to 14 years older. Fred maybe the father or possibly an uncle. The best I know is my grandfather's father ran a trucking business (horse and cart) and he did die an accidental death. They had property in New Haven around upper Chapel St and Dwight st.
