Early Holy Bible published in 1871 by the American Bible Society, with decorative tooled leather cover. Inner cover reads "Samuel H. Donehower February 24 79 A Present from his Father and Mother". Family history inside begins with Marriages: G. C. Donehower and Martha H. Kunsman were married Dec. 5th 1866. Samuel H. Donehower & Mabel G. McNaurana (?) Sept 6th 1898. Mattie D. Donehower & W. H. C. Woodhunt(?) Dec 19th 1895. Births George Donehower Oct 25 1833, Martha Donehower Jan 10th 1848, Samuel Donehower Aug 17th 1868, George Edward Aug or April 1870, Arthur Jackson Donehower Dec 3rd 1872, Mattie Donehower Jan 13th 1874, William Edgar Donehower March 23rd 1876, Jessie Evangaline Donehower March 1st 1878, Ada May Donehower Oct 10th 1880, and Mabel Ester Donehower Apr 9th 1882. DEATHS: George E. Donehower Sept 19th 1871, Arthur Jackson Feb 21 1873, Jessee Evangaline July 10th 1879, Ada May Donehower 1881. On the inside of the back cover is written "Samuel H. Donehower Bethalto, Ills" (Bethalto, Illinois IL). The front cover is loose and the binding spine also has some leather damage.
