James M. Donihoo was born in 1845 in Birmingham,Jefferson,Alabama his son John H
Donihoo who is a brother to Phillip V.Donihoo
John Donihoo was born in Pittsboro,Calhoun,
Mississippi on Dec 25,1875 John is my great
grandfather. James Marion is his middle name
I believe his dad's name is William Marion
Donihoo. They married on Dec 15,1867 in Yalobusha county I don't have proof but it is close I found a Nancy born about the right
time 1851 her parents were M.E.Howard and
Vina. Jesse E Donihoo's granddaughter said
that she had heard that Nancy's father owned or worked at a plantation on the census it said that her father was an overseer which I
have been told is someone who looks after an
farm or plantation. this is the 1860 census
of Mississippi Carroll Co at one time Carroll
co. and yalobusha were connected. It changed
in 1870 now it is Grenada Co.
