I am a descendant of Henry walter Donnell (1857-1886) who drowned at tapley cove, cape Neddick in 1886, he was a lobsterman.
His parents where William Henry and Ann Bowden, who was known as "spruce annie"
The tombstone can be found at the back of the property of the Donnell homestead on the Ridge road and Gunnison road area, diaganal across from Russell F Donnell sr. home.
I am trying to find out any info on Henry Walter and his wife Etta Mary (Mary) Wilbur. What happeded to Mary? she left the two children, Henry Jr, and Winifred (Winnie) in the care of the Calvin Winn family of the area.
My grandfather and brother, remember "spruce annie" there grandmother visiting them several times until her death in 1922.
any info on any of this would be wonderful!
