I'm e-mailing several people involved in the discussion about the "Donnell Family Books', But, whereas these are now old postings I will not be surprised if their e-mail addresses are no longer valid. So....... Another "Fitch" researcher cited the 1912 book, "Donnell Family" by Camilla and Emma Donnell as his source of info on the following persons:
Lawrence Ernest Fitch,1854-1940.
his first wife, Cora Aleana Lewis,1867-1960.
her parents, Samuel Milton and Sarah (Waters) Lewis.
Lawrence and Cora's only child, Claude Waters Fitch,1888-1964 and his wife, Rebecca Ann (Bird) Fitch, 1894-1966.
Cora's second husbund, Clarence Harold Metcalf,1856-1908.
I would appreciate knowing about Camilla and Emma's sources and any other possible clues as to where to dig bones.
I've found so many errors in previous geneaology work that I'm compelled to double check and try to prove everything. And as near as I can tell, Lawrence Ernest may not even have had parents. Previous work indicated that his parents were probably "Seth and Louisa Janet (Millard) Fitch. But his death certificate from Prescott, AZ lists his father as "Frank" and nothing at all for his mother.Thank you for any feedback. Lawrence (Larry) Fitch
