It appears that Benjamin's parents are Nathaniel DONNELL and Elizabeth TODD of Rowley, Essex Co., MA.
The York VR's give Nathaniel and Elizabeth (Todd's) children (well, 3 of them), as having been born in York, York Co., Maine. Elizabeth, Nathaniel and Thomas - born 1721, 24 and 31 respectively.
Benjamin was born May 1714 in Rowley, Essex Co., MA.

For now this seems logical since Benjamin named a son and a daughter for his parents.

Nathaniel was a Capt. in the 2nd Company of the MA military at the Seige of Louisbourg.

Benjamin Donnell his son was a Captain and Mariner out of York, Maine.
He and his family also lived in Georgetown, Maine which I think is now in Sagadahoc or Lincoln Co. and sort of near Popham Beach, Phippsburg, Boothbay area of Maine.

Benjamin married Sarah Kingsbury and they are my 6th grt. grandparents.
If anyone can add to or correct this please do.
