My husband is descended from Lucy Donnell and Theodore Sayward through their son Samuel Duncan Sayward and Jane Travers(e) through their daughter Lucy Donnell Sayward and John Thompson (nee Lars Jensen).
Lucy's father Benjamin Donnell, gf Nathaniel Donnell, ggf Thomas Donnell, and his father was probably Henry Donnell who was born in Scotland. Does anyone know his parentage and if his wife was really Frances Redding?
My records also show that Tristram Scribner was Susan Sayward's second husband; first being Joseph Allen.
I also have a Mehitable Leavitt who married William Farrin. Don't know when or where but their son Jesse was born in 1821 in Topsham, died and was buried in Bath.
Lucy had an older sister, Elizabeth, who, according to my info, married William Swanton in 1771 in Georgetown (now Bath). How does that jibe with your records?
Please let me hear from you.
