I also have family members that came from Ireland and dropped the "O" from their name. James O'Donnell (b.03-04-1814 d.06-11-1874) came from Ireland with his wife ,Elizabeth Boyd (b.01-15-1815 d.11-10-1904) and their six children, in 1859. The children are as follows:

Robert Donnell b. 10-02-1841 d.02-17-1875
William Donnell b.06-01-1843 d.03-10-1931
Mary Donnell b.03-17-1845 d.1901
Thomas Donnell b.05-19-1848 d.02-08-1923
Alexander Donnell b.07-23-1854 d.08-21-1934
James C. Donnell b.04-20-1854 d.01-10-1927

I also have most of the children and wives or husband of these 6 children. If any of these names look familiar please e-mail me.
