While that is a great piece of evidence you have there on your Dunwell's (various spellings), it now only makes me believe that my Elizabeth DONALD's family did Not descend from this Henry Donnell at all.
Everything in my family says they were Scottish. From the VR's of Rowley, MA I found my 5th grt. grandmother's Father and Grandfather listed.
In the Georgetown and Bath, Lincoln Co., Maine records I found them again with their last names spelled variously as DONALD and Donnell and sometimes family members names (at least in my family tree) were spelled Dunel or Dunnell.
I have no links to any of the Donnell's of Barnstable, MA so perhaps that's the kink for me. I also am now rethinking that perhaps my Donald'/Donnell's did come from Nor. Ireland to New England. My story is long and would be most boring and I've told it so many times even I'm tired of it, but its possible that my family has some connection with the Donnell's that were in Guilford Co., NC who married into some of the families that link to my Ydna cousins' family trees there.
The only solid track of my genealogy that I have on my branch of the Donald's/Donnell's is back to Capt. Nathaniel DONALD (found his name spelled that way on a deed), and his wife Elizabeth Todd (found a copy of his will in Lincoln Co., ME).
Also the VR's of Rowley, MA listed them as the parents of Benjamin Donnell who is my 6th grt. grandfather.
I just don't know what to think anymore, but I thank you for your information regarding the subject.
