Thank You Barbara for the info and links you provided.
I found the Northumberland/Northampton Co., PA details interesting too because in the 1700's a James MOODY and his son Adam MOODY who married a Jennie or Jane BOYD appeared in Lower Mt. Bethel, Northampton Co., PA coming from Nor. Ireland. Adam and wife had a son Robert and possibly a son Edward who lived in Upper Mt. Bethel or thereabouts.
This line of Moody's married into several of the same families that our earliest Ydna Thomas Moody b.c1710 Aghadowey, Co. L'derry, Nor. Ireland's descendants did when they also came to PA from Nor. Ireland but fairly early after arriving removed to Guilford Co., NC.

I've never been able to establish a link between the two Moody lines.

In my Donald/Donnell family in York, Sagadahoc and Lincoln Co., Maine the most common first names were Nathaniel, Benjamin, Joseph, John, Jonathan, William etc. In my 5th grt. grandmother's family there seemed to have been some sort of attempt at using the original spelling of the family name because I have seen repeatedly where documents, marriage records, deeds, etc. have the spelling of DONALD used but there seems to always be a notation stating that this name was more commonly found spelled as Donnell.
Clan Donald of which I was a member of for a while has some great info. However I could never get the lineage line of my 5th grt. grandmother going backwards from here, from them. They sent me all of the Numbers to look at which made no sense to me and when I inquired about her lineage line I got no straight answers. Oh well....

Anyway, thank you for the info you provided. Every little bit is helpful.
