The Parents of Jonathan Sargent DONNELL b. c1780 in Bath, Lincoln Co., Maine appear to be Nathaniel DONNELL b. c1748 in York Co., ME son of my 6th grt. grandparents Capt. Benjamin Donnell and Sarah KINGSBURY.
Jonathan Sargent DONNELL married Rebecca MELCHER. Their Marriage record and intent appears in the Brunswick, Cumberland Co., ME marriage records.
In the intent it states Mr. Jonathan DUNNELL (note last name spelling) of Bath and Miss Rebecca MELCHER of Brunswick dated Feb. 2, 1803.
On their Marriage record it says Jonathan S. DONNELL (again not spelling change on last name and the addition of the middle initial "S."), to Rebekah MELCHER married by Charles COFFIN on March 8, 1803 in Brunswick, Cumberland Co., ME.
To the best I can tell via Birth Records in Brunswick, Rebecca MELCHER was a daughter of Samuel MELCHER and Isabella HINKLEY. This couple had a daughter Rebecca b. on March 6, 1783 in Brunswick.
Isabella HINKLEY appears to be a daughter of Aaron HINKLEY and Mary LARRABEE as they had a daughter Isabella HINKLEY b. April 27, 1747 in Brunswick. Aaron Hinkley was a son of Deacon Samuel HINKLEY and Mary.
Mary LARRABEE was said to be a daughter of Capt. Benjamin LARRABEE.
I am not certain of the Larrabee link at the moment though, I need to research this further.

So, as it appears right now...Nathaniel DONNELL b.c1748 in York Co., ME married Susannah SARGENT c1777, daughter of Jonathan SARGENT. Nathaniel and Susannah had at least the following children...Jotham DONNELL b. June 1781 who m. Jane WOODBRIDGE
Elsie DONNELL b. Feb. 1792 who m. Samuel Hollowell ROGERS
Jonathan Sargent DONNELL b. c1780 who m. Rebecca MELCHER
Job Scott DONNELL b.c1808 prob. the one who married Isabella H. RAYMOND daughter of Anthony Coombs RAYMOND who m. on May 3, 1821 in Brunswick, Cumberland Co., ME to Aletta ALEXANDER who was b. March 31, 1802 in Brunswick or Topsham, ME daughter of William and Betsey (Campbell) ALEXANDER (to David & Anna [Ewing] Alexander > William and Jennet[Wilson] ALEXANDER my 7th grt. grandparents who came over from Co. L'derry, Nor. Ireland to Topsham, ME with the Ulster-Scots).
Jonathan Sargent DONNELL b.c1780 Bath, Lincoln Co., ME married Rebecca MELCHER in March 1803 Brunswick, ME and they had son Arthur DONNELL b. Jan. 25, 1808 in Bath, ME.
Arthur married Susan H. LOVELAND in April 1832 Chatham, Barnstable Co., MA where her family was from.

Arthur DONNELL and Susan LOVELAND had son Arthur Chatham DONNELL b. Aug. 4, 1853 in Bath, Maine who removed to San Francisco, CA and married a Mrs. Lizzie J. WAYMAN who was born in 1851.

Other children of Arthur Donnell b. 1808 and Susan Loveland were Jonathan Sargent DONNELL b. March 18, 1833 in Bath, ME who married in New Orleans, LA to Mary DRURY.
Capt. Samuel Melcher DONNELL b. July 1835 in Bath who married Mary JEWETT or Jewell?? (one book says one last names other records state another??) in Wiscasset, Maine. Samuel died in San Francisco, CA
Annie Goodwin DONNELL b. 1847 m. William A. HOLMES
Harriet Elizabeth DONNELL b. 1850 m. Charles ROBINSON
Henry Scott DONNELL b. 1844 married in San Francisco but her name is not given.
Frederick Doane DONNELL b. 1855 must have also gone to CA as he was a Civil Engineer for the Northern Pacific Rail Road and was unmarried.
Emily Susan DONNELL b. and died at the age of 4 years old.
Zidana True DONNELL b. Oct. 1840 m. 1st to Edward L. DAYTON and married 2nd to Enoch M. REED (she had several children with her 2nd husband REED).

Please be advised that some of this info has been proven by me via Birth, Marriage, Death, Cemetery, Census and Church records. Some of this has not been proven but appears to be fairly solid. However this info could change at any time if I find documentation to back up some of the info I do not it for at this time.
I hope this additional information will be helpful to others researching these lines.
If anyone can add to this or make corrections WITH Sources Cited, I will be very greatful.
Thank You.
