Sorry I got no old pictures, oldest is 1910, I see we are related through Capt nathanial Donnell of York Maine. My family line goes through timothy, edward, henry etc, an all my branch pics and info was burned up by mrs WInn in the late 1960s when she wa widowed, my great grandfather Henry walter , who was born at the donnell homestead on the ridge road in york which was built in the 1780s, anyways he and his sister Winnie were raised by the calvin Winn family in the 1880s when there father henry walter drowned at cape neddick pulling his lobster pots, the mother Marietta wilbur left them in the winns care (and dissapeared into history I guess) But guess we are all decendents of Henry Donnell who came from Barnstable england to Maine in early 1630s. so how did your branch end up in North Carolina? it's funny, my son lived there for 5 yrs, and just moved away, and I may be moving that way myself soon since we got grandbabies there. small world isn't it. have you been to the old gaol in York to look through what there is for old pics, I know there is one of a george Donnell in his lobster boat taken in the 1870s or 80s by george Ernst, but know of none older, but it has been 20 yrs since I was there to check there archives.
