I am looking for John Donnell who married Serena Starrett and they had James, Sarah C and Amanda Victoria, who married Elihu Williams and they are my 2nd great grandparents. I know very little about them, I did find Serena and the 3 kids on a 1860 census for Rowan county NC but nothing else. I know Amanda and Elihu were married in Davie county NC October 1880 on the license her parents are listed as deceased, I think. It's hard to read. I am 90% sure the last name is DONNELL but have seen it as Donnal and Dannal. Any info on this family would be wonderful, they were all born in NC but don't know where the parents of John Donnell came from or who they were.
