Timothy Donovan-Boston- (Work in progress 29.06.2011)
Patrick Joseph Donovan was born on 03.02.1883 in Dunmanway and he emigrated from Ireland to the U.S. circa 1904. He was a brother of Timothyís and he live for a while with his sister Ellen Hanley (Curly Ellen) and her family at no. 3 Maymount, Cork City before emigrating to the U.S.
Patrick Joseph Donovan married Margaret Daley on 20.01.1909 in Boston, Mass. and they lived in Precinct 8 South Boston 9, Suffolk, Mass.and had 5 children.
Timothy Donovan was born circa. 1886/1888. He was a younger brother of Patrick Joseph Donovan. We know that he emigrated to the U.S.circa. 1908 but we found it hard to trace him on the American Census Records. Timothy offered accommodation to his nephew Michael Joseph Hanley (31) when he emigrated from Cork City to Boston on 05.03.1930.Timothy Donovan was aged about 44 at that stage and he lived at no 35 Bittern Rd, Quincy, Mass.
One of these Donovanís might be the son of Timothy and Ellen Donovan from Dunmanway, County Cork, Ireland.
