RE: DOOLAN ANCIENT HISTORY.i.e.EOCHAID DUBHLEIN,

What is known about our possible ancient ancestors,I have trawelled through endless books, ancient pedigrees etc,and suprised to find,a few, that I might add, were fairly important people in the history of these Isles. Some say we are off of the DOWLING pedigree and that both names are the same, others imply we are from King EOCHAID DUBHLEIN,father of the three Collas, from which came many NOBLE families.Kings of Leinster have held the name.Possibly a King of Strathclyde called DUNWALLON (DOWWALLON).It has also been stated that the natural son of ALLAN LORD OF GALLOWAY was none other than
THOMAS McDUALLAN,a hugely important, but very understated, character in SCOTLANDS history,(a bit like William Wallace was before the film and book BRAVEHEART). If anyone wishes to know more they can E MAIL me at the following address.nickdoolan@bushinternet.com bye for now Nick Doolan.
