I'm doing research on Mary Ann Dolan or Doolan. I believe the family used Dolan but her marriage certificate says her father was John Doolan in 1895 in Manchester. She was born in January 1868, she always said she was born in Dublin but some papers say she was born in Manchester, her parents were John Doolan and Ellen Boyd, she had a brother, James who was an English Merchant Seaman and had a son Neil (or Neal) who lived in Massachusetts. Mary Ann married Thomas Fern in England in 1887, he died early and in 1895 she married my grandfather, John Heeley, in Manchester, They came to the United States in 1903 and lived in Mass.

Any connection? Can we help each other?

Regards, May (Heeley) Gilroy
