Starting Sept. 30, 2014, Genealogy.com will be making a big change. GenForum
message boards, Family Tree Maker homepages, and the most popular articles
will be preserved in a read-only format, while several other features will
no longer be available, including member subscriptions and the Shop.
You may have allready done these things but if not they might be a start. Look through all your father 's and grandfather's papers for birth certificates, marriage license, babtismal certificates, old letters and pictures for family names, Wills, property deeds etc, old checks, World War 2 gas rations and other ration booklets if your grasndfather is that old. You will need your mother's and grandmother's names and any siblings of either. Both your father and grandfather probably have birth certificates giving place of birth If not you can get copies. Then look for them in that State Census . Some counties have a census. Ask your genealogy librarion to help you. I am not a Doolin relative but I am interested in that name. So let me know how you do. Good luck Audine Ridge Miller
